Personal and social/emotional developmentChildren are encouraged independently to manage personal needs like cleanliness toilet training healthy eating. Children become aware of their emotions by been encouraged to use a feeling box. Staff teach the children to share and engage in friendship groups Mathematics –the children are taught about shapes sizes capacity space and money time and measuring. Activities such as baking board games planting and number songs and rhythms are encouraged Health and wellbeing –The children are encouraged to serve their own snacks taught good table manners and etiquette. Prepare simple snacks and encouraged to learn about various foods, fruits vegetables understand their nutritional value. Through play and dance children are taught about spatial awareness and co-ordination and enhancing physical ability to communicate through arts. The children are encouraged to draw and paint and explore and play with media and materials each step is crucial for developing and understanding self-expression, vocabulary and the ability to communicate through arts. Healthy bodies healthy minds -The children at JimJam are encouraged to dance and move indoors as well having access to a large yard in which the children are encouraged to climb and explore. Children are supported to connect with their bodies building strength and gross motor skills. Every one of our children at JimJam nursey are encouraged to be confident enthusiastic they are inspired to approach life with a love for learning
